Instructor of Finance
David Amoss has been teaching Finance at Loyola University's College of Business since 2021. He currently develops long-term asset concessions for higher education and healthcare customers for New Orleans-based Bernhard LLC. Prior to that, David was an equity analyst for over 10 years with Howard Weil, Iberia Capital Partners, and Heikkinen Energy Advisors. During that time, he covered upstream, midstream, and downstream companies in the Oil and Gas sector and led the Midstream/Downstream research group at Heikkinen Energy Advisors. David started his career as the Director of Finance for an international marine equipment manufacturing company and as an Economist at AECOM in Chicago and Sydney, Australia. Mr. Amoss has a BBA in International Business from the University of Georgia, and he is a CFA charterholder. David has served as President of the CFA Society of Louisiana and Board Chair of Lycee-Francais de la Nouvelle Orleans charter school, where he helped raise capital for an $18M renovation for the school's high school building. He has also served on the Board of Directors for Crimestoppers New Orleans and Timber Ridge POA. David is a graduate of Ben Franklin High School and lives in New Orleans with his wife and three children.
