James Vorhoff

James Vorhoff is a Transaction Advisory and Forensic Accounting Manager in the Metairie office of EisnerAmper’s Financial Advisory Services Group, which is based in New York City. His focus is on M& an advisory and litigation valuation services, including carve-out modeling, financial due diligence, and damage calculation support across a range of industries. Before joining EA’s FVS consulting in 2022 (previously, Postlethwaite & Netterville, he worked in public accounting, holding both tax and audit positions.

James grew up in New Orleans and graduated from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business. He worked in marketing and sales within the banking and software tech industries in Atlanta and New York, respectively. In 2015, he returned to NOLA to pursue a career in accounting. He enrolled in the University of New Orleans to earn the supplementary accounting credits needed to sit and pass the CPA exam while simultaneously working for a small family tax firm. Once licensed, James joined a mid-sized local accounting firm to begin his career in audit.

James has been an active member in local professional accounting organizations such as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants (LCPA).

In his spare time, James enjoys comedy, movies, and spending time with his friends and family. In 2023, he and his wife were blessed with a beautiful baby girl, and have since been ceaselessly chasing her around as she is always busy. Also, surprisingly enough to himself and others, gardening has now become an important hobby—he’s officially crossed over and reached that milestone in Dad-life.
