Visiting Assistant Professor of Finance
Dr. Hammad is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Finance at Loyola University - New Orleans. She completed her Ph.D. in Financial Economics at the University of New Orleans. She also holds a M.S. in Finance, two Executive MBAs (Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Arab American University), and a B.A. in Finance and Banking from Birzeit University.
Dr. Hammad has extensive teaching experience in Finance, Economics, and Business courses. She has taught at both the University of New Orleans and Arab American University in in-person and online formats, consistently earning excellent evaluations. Her dedication to teaching excellence was recognized when she received the Best Teaching Award (2024–2025) for achieving the best teaching record at the Henry Bernstein College of Business Administration, University of New Orleans. She is especially passionate about bridging theory and practice, often incorporating investment simulations and applied tools to help students develop market-ready skills.
Her research lies at the intersection of corporate governance, corporate finance, and sustainability. She has published in respected journals, including the Pacific-Basin Finance Journal and the Journal of Energy Markets, and presented her work at leading conferences worldwide. Her scholarship has been recognized with several awards, including the 2024 Southwestern Society of Economists Outstanding Paper Award.
Currently, Dr. Hammad is dedicated to fostering student success, advancing impactful research, and preparing the next generation of financial leaders in a dynamic global economy.
