Visiting Assistant Professor of Management
Ashley Francis is a Visiting Assistant Professor for Marketing & Management. A graduate of Loyola University’s School of Mass Communications and Tulane University’s Freeman School of Business, she teaches Business Communications, Strategic Brand Marketing, and Advertising & Promotions to undergraduates.
She brings to the classroom numerous years of professional experience in agency, arts and higher education marketing and management. Ashley previously worked at the University of New Orleans in the College of Business Department of Executive Education. While there, she helped develop the UNO EMBA program in San Juan Puerto Rico. She also was Marketing Director of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra for its first 7 years.
A graduate of the Aspen Institute Young Leaders program, Ashley supports and promotes the Jesuit commitment to values-based learning and leadership. She encourages service learning programs in her classes.
Ashley is an active member of the New Orleans community, having serving on numerous boards and committees. In 2010, Mayor Mitch Landrieu appointed her to the Audubon Commission, which oversees operations of the Audubon Zoo, Park, Aquarium, Insectarium and numerous other facilities. She currently serves as president of the Louise S. McGehee School Parents’ League.
