Henry J. Engler Jr. Distinguished Professor in Management
Dr. Wing M. Fok is the current holder of the Henry J. Engler, Jr. Distinguished Professor in Management in the College of Business Administration, Loyola University New Orleans. He has been involved heavily in many international business projects funded by the Board of Regents of the State of Louisiana, as well as the US Department of Education with total funding received close to US $ 2 million. He served as project director for two projects funded by Louisiana State Board of Regents with funding total of over US$ 310,000. The first project studied the inbound technology transfer process and the second studied the economic impact of international logistics to local economy. He has been invited to serve as the external reviewer for Louisiana State University’s CIBER application.
Dr. Fok is a current member of the International Business Committee and a former member of the Transportation Committee of the World Trade Center of New Orleans. Dr. Fok is currently serving as Advisor of the Asian Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana. He has served on advisory boards of various organizations including serving as Vice President of the International Association of Business Forecasting and National Association of Purchasing Management. He has taught at graduate, as well as executive programs in many places including: multiple cities in China, Bahrain, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Trinidad and Chile, He was a visiting professor in the International MBA program at Peking University in 1999 and 2006. He has conducted workshops for many organizations including the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, NASA Stennis Space Center of the U.S., and the Food and Drug Administration of Beijing.
Dr. Fok was a registered ISO 9000 Lead Auditor and consults in the areas of quality management, production management, project management and strategic management. His publications can be found in many academic journals including: Information & Management, Production Planning and Control, International Journal of Operations and Production Management, Public Personnel Management. One of his articles is included in the textbook: Manufacturing Research and Technology: Global Manufacturing Practices. His research has won best paper awards from several academic conferences including Decision Science Institutes, Western Decision Science Institutes and Southwest Academy of Management. He is an editor of the International Journal of Electronic Government.
