1982

Joseph G. Caporella was elected to the presidency of the National Beverage Corporation on September 27, 2002. As president, Joe is responsible for overseeing the company's daily operations, focusing on sales, marketing, and product development as well as managing production processes and efficiencies. He will also pursue additional external growth opportunities for the company, which makes and distributes Shasta and Big Shot beverages.

1983

Matthew J. Dougherty recently returned to his hometown of Louisville, Ky., after spending 12 years in New Mexico. Matthew works as a sales consultant, and his wife is an accomplished artist. They have a 9-year-old daughter and a 6-year-old son and are very involved with activities at their children's school.

1986

Raul Navarro (A'83) is currently a first year novice in the New Orleans Province of the Society of Jesus. Raul entered the order on August 14, 2002.

1988

Joseph T. Gardemal, III, is a vice president with the CapAnalysis Group in Washington, D. C. CapAnalysis provides financial, economic, and environmental litigation consulting, and is affiliated with the international law firm Howrey, Simon, Arnold & White. Joe lives in Falls Church, Va., with his wife, Terry-Ann, and his sons, Joseph, IV, and Trevor.

1992

Amy Todd (G'94) married William Kuhleman on April 6, 2002, at Holy Name of Jesus Church in New Orleans. The couple met at Harte-Hanks, Inc., an international direct marketing company, where Amy is a marketing analyst. She and her husband live in Sykesville, Md.

1993

Annette Barsallo resides in Miami, Fla., with her husband, Juan. She works with Master Foods Interamerica, an international company of Mars, Incorporated. Annette is responsible for marketing activities in Central American and Northern Caribbean markets, which keeps her traveling on business much of the time. Juan and Annette married on August 3, 2002 in Panama City, Panama.

1994

Barry J. Cooper, Jr. (L'00), has been in private practice since graduating from Loyola's School of Law in 2000. In May 2002, he started his own law firm and practice in the areas of estates, trusts, business law, commercial litigation, and products liability. Outside of practicing law, Barry serves on the board of directors for the New Orleans Opera Association, Southern Repertory Theater, Meals on Wheels, Inc., the Young Lawyer's Division of the Federal Bar Association, and Loyola's College of Music Visiting Committee.

Tammy Marlene Blalock Rivers and her husband, Steve, had their first child, Christian, in December 2001. Another is on the way!

1997

Daniel F. Lamarche entered the full-time MBA program at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Ga., last August. He will receive his degree in May 2004. Prior to graduate school, Daniel worked as a valuation consultant at American Appraisal Associates in Atlanta.

1998

Michael Blackstock just completed a two-year term as national president of Alpha Delta Gamma Fraternity. He will remain on the board as an adviser for the next two years. Mike currently runs a sports card, memorabilia, and gaming wholesale distributorship in southern Florida.

Anthony Randazzo, Jr., has earned the designation of Certified Management Accountant (CMA) by the Institute of Certified Management Accountants.

1999

Joseph Yacura has been named chief procurement officer of the Americas region for Six Continents Hotels, Inc., the world's leading global hotel group. He is responsible for strategic planning, policy development, deployment, and operational leadership for the supply chain and procurement functions. He is also responsible for the purchasing of all materials, products, and services for the company's managed hotels, headquarters, and ancillary facilities. Six Continents Hotels is a leading global hotel group whose brands include InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Crowne Plaza Hotels and Resorts, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, and Staybridge Suites. Prior to joining the company, Joseph was a consultant for several organizations and held senior management positions at IBM, Pacific Bell, and American Express. He is actively involved with the procurement profession and serves as the chairman of the Center for Advanced Purchasing studies.

2002

Kristi Kay Chenoweth attends the University of Alabama, where she is pursuing a master's degree in finance. She was the recipient of a Graduate Council Fellowship for the 2002 -2003 academic year. This award is the most prestigious and competitive fellowship given by the university.
