
Two Alumni Join Loyola's Board of TrusteesFrances S. Smith, B'62, was recently named to Loyola's Board of Tr ustees. Smith and her husband, Rodney R. Smith, are the owners and proprietors of the historic Soniat House Hotel and Antiques Gallery in New Orleans' French Quarter. A native of Baton Rouge, Smith received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Loyola and completed two years post graduate work at the Sorbonne in French history and literature. Also joining the board is Tina Nguyen Owen, B'86, G'88. A resident of New Orleans, Owen has established and been principal of Lotus Capital Management, L. L. C., since 1993. She has won a number of awards, including the Woman of the Year Award form CityBusiness in 2001 and was also appointed as one of Louisiana's delegation to the first U. S.
