
CBA Welcomes New FacultyDuring the 2002 -2003 academic year, the College of Business Administration welcomed three new faculty to campus. Nicholas Capaldi is the Legendre-Soule Chair in Business Ethics and Professor of Business Ethics. Capaldi earned a Ph. D. in philosophy from Columbia University and a bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He has published numerous scholarly articles in such journals as the Journal of Philosophy; Ethics; Philosophical Journal; International Journal for the Philosophy of Religion; Journal of Critical Analysis; Social Theory and Practice; and the American Philosophical Quarterly. Capaldi has served on the editorial board of a number of journals. He is the author of many books, including David Hume: The Newtonian Philosopher; Out of Action: Affirmative Action and the Crisis of Doctrinaire Liberalism; Hume's Place in Moral Philosophy; and others. Capaldi has served as the McFarlin Endowed Professor of Philosophy and Research Professor of Law at the University of Tulsa and has held faculty positions at Queens College, City University of New York, the State University College at Potsdam, and the National University of Singapore. Miguel Caldas is the Gerald N. Gaston Eminent Scholar Chair in International Business and Associate Professor of International Business. Caldas earned his Ph. D. from Escola de Administração de Empresas de São Paulo da Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), São Paulo, Brazil. Prior appointments were six years at FGV and 10 years as a lecturer at Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing in São Paulo, Brazil. He has published numerous articles to include articles in the Academy of Management Executive, The Strategy Process, and Business Process Management Journal. In addition, he has worked with Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Anderson Business Consulting, and Coopers & Lybrand Consulting. Chandra Schorg is a visiting assistant professor of accounting. Schorg earned a master's degree in business administration and a bachelor's of business administration degree from Texas Women's University. Kendra Reed, visiting assistant professor of management, earned her Ph. D. from the University of Nebraska Lincoln. Prior positions include two years as a visiting assistant professor at the university of Wisconsin-Madison and one year as a visiting assistant professor at Syracuse University.
