Meaghan McCormack

Meaghan McCormack is the Vice President of Marketing & Communications for the World Trade Center of New Orleans. In addition to external affairs, public relations and strategy, Meaghan manages all administrative aspects of WTC industry committees, programs, and events such as the signature Bertel Award Ceremony and Louisiana International Trade Week and Gala. She also administers the organization’s Global Connect program for international delegations and the Louisiana Consular Corps. Meaghan previously worked for the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses initiative, helping catalyze small business owners through education, advising and access to capital. She also taught online tools training to small business owners through the Google Community Leaders Program. Originally from a small town in upstate New York, Meaghan knows and values the positive impact small businesses have on economic development and quality of life.

Meaghan received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Business Management and Marketing with minors in Sociology and Mass Communications from Loyola University New Orleans. At Loyola, she was the President of the American Marketing Association, Vice President of the Loyola Entrepreneur Association, and Chancellor of Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity. She is also a graduate of the New Orleans Business Alliance’s Economic Development Ambassador program, the Young Leadership Council’s Leadership Development Series, and New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute (NORLI). She participated in Emerging Philanthropists of New Orleans, where she worked with other members of the Juvenile Justice team to raise funds, vet, and grant $10,000 two non-profit organizations working to dismantle the school to prison pipeline. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute, the French American Chamber – Gulf Coast and is the Board Engagement Chair for Junior Achievement of Greater New Orleans Young Professionals Board.

Meaghan and her work have been honored by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana with the Excelencia Young Leader Award (2019), GNO, Inc., as a Finalist for the Millennial Award in Economic Development (2019), the International Economic Development Council with a Gold Award for the Weekly Trader International Trade Newsletter (2019), a Silver Award for the Weekly Trader International Trade Newsletter (2018), and a Silver Award for the wtcno.org Website (2019). She was also selected as one of the Marquis Who's Who in America (2019), City Business Woman of the Year (2019) and was the Loyola University New Orleans Joseph A. Butt College of Business Award for Most Outstanding Graduate in Business Management (2016).

Passionate about creating meaningful change, Meaghan is also an avid volunteer and has worked with the Harry Tompson Center homeless shelter, the Edible Schoolyard, and for the Orleans Public Defenders. In everything she does, Meaghan seeks to support

socially responsible business and make sure every aspect of local communities thrive.
