Welcome from the Dean

The world of business is characterized by constant change, uncertainty, and opportunities, and nowhere can you get a better preparation for these challenges than in the College of Business at Loyola University New Orleans. Our programs are designed to prepare individuals to thrive in a dynamic, global marketplace.
Loyola's campus is located in the beautiful Uptown area of New Orleans . Our location in this wonderful city has created a unique set of opportunities for our students. The rebuilding of post-Katrina New Orleans provides a truly fascinating laboratory for students of business, as they see each day how organizations recover from adversity and learn why effective leadership is critical for the survival and growth of business firms in difficult times.
Additionally, we have identified numerous opportunities for our students to be active participants in the rebuilding of a stronger city. Through the Loyola Corps program our students and faculty are actively engaged in rebuilding both the business community in New Orleans and our community as a whole. This year Loyola's students will spend more than 5,000 hours actively working to rebuild New Orleans through volunteer work, internships, part-time jobs, and classroom projects.
At Loyola we provide a distinctive mix of faculty excellence and individualized attention to create a superb learning environment in which you can excel. As a student in the College of Business you will participate in our innovative Executive Mentoring Program as well as our comprehensive CoB Internship Program. You may also choose to be involved in our highly successful Student Publication Program, co-authoring articles with faculty mentors.
In this unique city you will get hands-on training in crisis management and strategic planning. Our excellent faculty and nationally ranked programs will provide you with the knowledge and experience you need to become a successful and ethical business leader in an increasingly complex global marketplace. And, you will be an active participant in the rebuilding of New Orleans , business by business, person by person. I hope that you will join us in this great adventure.
