Admissions

I have questions regarding my MBA application, who should I contact to discuss my case?

Our enrollment specialists are available via email, phone, or Zoom meetings to discuss your questions. If you are an applicant for our on-campus part-time professional, full-time fast track, or global MBA programs, please contact us at 504.864.7953 or mba@loyno.edu. If you are an online MBA applicant, please contact us at 504.577.2855.

I don't have a lot of work experience. Should I still apply?

Our programs value a diverse range of experiences, so having limited work experience should not deter you from applying. Admissions committees understand that applicants come from various backgrounds and take your full application into account when reviewing your materials. Your application process provides you with the opportunity to demonstrate your potential to contribute to and benefit from an MBA or MS program. Your submitted materials - including your resume, personal statement, letters of recommendation, and admissions interview - provide you with the opportunity to emphasize your strengths and experiences, including any internships, volunteer work, or extracurricular activities that have helped you develop skills relevant to the program.

What if my undergrad was years ago? Should I still apply?

Your undergraduate degree, regardless of when it was completed, can still provide a strong foundation for your graduate or MBA studies. When applying, highlight any relevant professional experiences, certifications, or continuing education you have completed and emphasize any leadership roles, achievements, or transferable skills you have acquired in your post-undergraduate career.

I can’t access official paper transcripts from my undergraduate degree. Can I still apply without these?

Yes. We are asking applicants to obtain official electronic copies of your transcripts (if your university sends electronic official copies). If your school does not, we are reviewing applications with unofficial transcripts for a preliminary admissions decision. If you are accepted into any program with unofficial documents, you must provide official copies before registering and beginning classes.

Do I need to take the GMAT/GRE?

Currently, the GMAT/GRE is an optional component for the MBA application. The GMAT or GRE score report is not a requirement for the MS in Healthcare Management or MS in Marketing & Communications degrees.

Can I obtain a waiver for the application fee?

All application fees are currently waived for graduate business applications.

Do you offer information sessions or open houses where I can learn more?

Yes. We are now holding both in-person and virtual open houses where you can learn more about Loyola University New Orleans, our programs, and the application process. Click here to view upcoming open house dates and reserve your spot.
