Since September 2008, Wing Fok, the newly appointed Director of the International Business Center (IBC), has been busy developing a strategic plan for the IB Center. Besides reviving the IBC, Dr. Fok has been busy working with local business and academic communities, as well as communities on campus.

Wing is the co-chair of the university-level task force that is charged with developing a strategic plan to internationalizing our campus. Dr. Fok is working with universities in China to develop new graduate programs and to fine tune our summer program in China to include alumni and visiting committee members. He is also working with universities in other countries to develop additional exchange opportunities for the College of Business students.

In order to further promote the Chinese culture on campus, Dr. Fok was instrumental in starting The Chinese Table, an informal organization participated by faculty (active participants included Drs. Jing Li and Lee Yao from CoB), staff and students. The organization holds regular gatherings every other week to discuss issues relating to China.

Dr. Fok was also the keynote speaker at the Inaugural Asian Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana Gala on October 18, 2008, attended by over two hundred local business executives.
