Brittany Gilbert
I’m 23 years old, originally from West Monroe, Louisiana. After graduating college from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in December 2013 with a Mass Communications/Public Relations degree, I moved to New Orleans for a position with the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce in Metairie, LA. Currently working as the Membership Development Manager I focus on increasing new membership and sponsorships.
Initially I applied for the Events Director position that was available. After my interview I was called back and offered this position that has just been developed. As another responsibility of my job I manage the Jefferson Chamber’s Young Professional network by organizing socials and recruiting new members.
I complete five unpaid internships throughout college in North Louisiana as well as one in St. Augustine, FL. I worked with two Chamber of Commerce offices, State Farm Agency, my University’s campus event office and the Susan G. Komen foundation. I never thought I would be in New Orleans, but it was the best decision I ever made.
I am active in the Phi Mu Alumnae group in New Orleans.
