C. Garlan White

C. Garlan White was born in New Orleans and raised in the city and its surrounding areas. In 2008 he earned a Bachelors of Business Administration, cum laude, from Loyola University New Orleans with a focus in finance and economics.

While at Loyola, White served as a Co-Chair of the Loyola Society of Civic Engagement and College of Business President for the Student Government Association. He interned with Arthur J. Gallagher, a global insurance brokerage firm; Merrill Lynch; the Mitch Landrieu Campaign for Mayor; and Blanchard & Company, a locally based, national retail dealer in precious metals and rare coins. White was also a member of Alpha Sigma Nu, the National Jesuit Honor Society and Beta Gamma Sigma, the international honor society for business majors.

Since graduating, White has worked exclusively in the wealth management and investment fields. He currently holds his Series 7 & 66 investment licenses as well as his life, health, and variable insurance licenses. White began his career at Merrill Lynch as a financial advisor. In late 2009, he joined Chase Investment Services Corp as a financial advisor in bank branches in Houma and New Orleans. He ultimately wanted to work for the independent side of the business. An opportunity to join Bellingrath Wealth Management & Employee Benefits presented itself in mid 2010, where he remains today. Bellingrath is an independent, locally owned boutique wealth management firm that offers investment management services, various forms of insurances, financial planning, and employee benefits to create a full-picture wealth management solution for its clients.

In his personal time, White enjoys boating, kayaking, cycling, and all things New Orleans. He volunteers through the Young Leadership Council, for which he serves as the Investment Committee Chairman and as a Project Leader for “Where Ya’ Rack?”, an initiative that seeks sponsors for the placement of bike racks on public and private property throughout the Greater New Orleans area. He resides in the Uptown area of the city.
