Moe Iqbal works at the New Orleans branch of EisnerAmper, a top-20 national accounting and advisory firm. He focuses on providing mid-market M&A advisory and forensic accounting services, helping businesses with financial due diligence, carve-out accounting, earn-out calculations, forecasts, and other quantitative considerations needed to navigate transactions and disputes.
Moe grew up in the New Orleans area and attended Loyola from 2007 to 2014, with several semesters off between 2011 and 2013. He graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor of Liberal Studies in Social Sciences and a minor in Business Administration. During my time at Loyola, he worked at the Bursar's office as a work-study employee for three years and worked at the Office of Co-Curricular Programs for one year. He also served on the judiciary branch of the Student Government Association for two years. Moe enjoyed taking part in several "Wolves on the Prowl" volunteer days and was a member of the Faith and Justice program, where they focused on planning and executing community-based volunteer efforts. The lessons he learned, the friendships he formed, and the experiences he enjoyed during his time at Loyola are invaluable.
After graduation, Moe attended the University of New Orleans, where he completed a post-baccalaureate accounting program in 2015. Since this time, he has worked in public accounting at regional and local firms where he was an external auditor and, since March 2020, an M&A and forensic accounting advisor. In 2020, he enrolled as a part-time student at Louisiana State University to obtain a Master of Science in Analytics, which he completed in August of 2023. He has begun to deploy the use of statistical models and data science tools to better assist clients with complex financial matters.
Moe's local roots and the education that he received at Loyola have allowed him to bring a people-friendly approach to public accounting, valuing teamwork and client service. Although he graduated from Loyola with a Social Sciences degree, he began college as a business major, so he was able to participate in the Executive Mentor Program his freshman year. He has been participating as an Executive Mentor since 2018 and has enjoyed it every year.
