Casey is an honor graduate of Holy Cross High School class of 2005. He then attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in which he majored in Political Science. While in college, he completed internships for two statewide elected officials. Upon graduating college in 2009, Casey was offered an opportunity to assist his hometown of St. Bernard in its recovery from Hurricane Katrina. In 2011, Casey decided that he wanted to take on a larger role in Parish Government and announced his candidacy for the District D Parish Council seat. On November 19, 2011, Casey became the youngest councilman ever elected in St. Bernard Parish at twenty-four years of age. Since taking office in January, he has taken on many leadership roles including: chairman of the Executive Finance Committee, member of the Regional Planning Commission, vice-chairman of the Housing Redevelopment and Quality of Life Commission, and chairman of the Cable Committee. Casey is enthusiastic about the future of St. Bernard and vows to dedicate himself to improving St. Bernard in any way possible. Casey currently works full-time as the Director of Recruitment for Northwestern Mutual. He is also finishing up his last year at Tulane University for his MBA degree.
