Harriet Johnson Brackey

CFP®, Vice President and Investment Advisor Representative

As a portfolio manager, Harriet works with individuals and non-profits, creating customized investment strategies to achieve clients’ goals. She also provides financial planning to address issues of wealth accumulation, college funding, retirement income and estate planning. Harriet joined First Horizon Advisors, formerly IBERA Wealth Advisors, after nearly eight years at the wealth management arm of BDO. Previously, she had an extensive career in the financial media as a reporter and columnist covering financial markets and investments for Business Week magazine, USA Today, Nightly Business Report on PBS, the Miami Herald and the Sun-Sentinel. She has been nominated for the Pulitzer Prize.

Harriet graduated from The American University in Washington, D.C., with a Master of Arts in Communications and Public Affairs. Harriet received her bachelor’s degree with honors in American Studies from the University of Oregon.

She is a Certified Financial Planner and holds the Series 65 license.

She is immediate past president of the Financial Planning Association of Louisiana and is a member of the advisory council for the national Financial Planning Association.
