Alejandra Guzman

Alejandra Guzman, the Chief Operating Officer of the LSU Health Foundation New Orleans, is a highly skilled executive with more than two decades of leadership experience specializing in administration, process optimization, and organizational efficiency.

Deeply committed to mission-driven environments, she has led the development and execution of multimillion-dollar master plans and real estate initiatives across the United States, Mexico, and Latin America. Her impressive portfolio includes affordable housing projects, disaster recovery initiatives, capital attraction strategies for underinvested communities, and overseeing complex process management for over $400 million in luxury mixed-use developments and massive urban master plans in Mexico.

In New Orleans, which she now calls home with her husband and daughter, Alejandra previously served in a senior leadership role at the New Orleans Business Alliance (NOLABA) to advance equity and economic resilience. She then joined the LSU Health Foundation as Chief Business Development Officer, expanding her expertise in public-private partnerships before transitioning into her current role as COO, where she now oversees key administrative functions, budget supervision, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning.

A dedicated civic leader, she serves on various influential boards—including as Board Chair for the Louisiana Urban Land Institute and a six-year tenure with the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans—and her impactful work has earned her widespread recognition, including honors such as New Orleans Magazine’s Top Female Achievers and North America’s Top 50 Economic Developers. Outside of her professional achievements, Alejandra holds an MBA from Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business and loves exploring the vibrant culture, local festivals, and live music of New Orleans with her family.
