Joshua Barraza

Joshua Barraza was born and raised in New Orleans.  He graduated from Loyola University New Orleans in 2025 with a BBA in Finance and a minor in Accounting. 

Today, Joshua is based in New York City, working as a finance analyst at Chief, an executive membership network for women in the C-suite.

Before working at Chief, he was a financial analyst in tech at Copado in New Orleans, a software as a service company. A few other fields have guided him here. In accounting, he worked in the private sector doing tax and audit. In real estate, he spent three years as a salesperson, closing over $1.3M in transactions across buying, selling, and leasing. He has also clerked at a law firm specializing in business litigation, back when he thought he might go the law route.

Outside of work, Joshua is still fairly new to New York, so most of his free time goes into learning the city and eating his way through it. He travels when he can, and his goal is to visit all 50 states before experiencing international travel. He has traveled to 28 states thus far. He is an aspiring entrepreneur at heart, so he's at the stage of putting everything he's learned into his own practice and getting involved in a side business that could hopefully expand into something full-time.
