Maria Pardo Huete

Maria Pardo Huete is a native New Orleanian and the daughter of Cuban and Honduran immigrants. She is a graduate of the Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts in Natchitoches and received a B.A. in Political Science from Loyola University New Orleans.

She is the Fund Development and Community Relations Administrator at the Junior League of New Orleans and is known for her accomplished leadership in philanthropy.

Her proudest professional achievement was becoming the first Hispanic president of the Junior League of New Orleans in 2016. During her presidency, she led 2,200 members, managed 12 community projects, two affiliated businesses, and orchestrated a heroic response by the Diaper Bank to flood victims in Southeast Louisiana.

With “big picture” thinking and keen desire for collaboration, she assists nonprofits in strategic planning and in evaluating and recommending paths for the future. She has served on boards of the following organizations: Café Reconcile, University of Holy Cross, Family Service of Greater New Orleans, Women United of Southeast Louisiana, Citizens for One Greater New Orleans and others.

Maria has been married for 29 years to David and is the proud mother of 25 year old triplets.
