Bio

Ruda Pollard’s role in the New Orleans Office of Economic Development focuses on intersections of community and commercial renewable energy adoption. This New Energy Economy Policy and Program Manager believes that resilient systems do not rely on people to endure abuse, reflecting his deep commitments to sustainable development for people and their economies. The United States Senate, AmeriCorps’ City Year, and FUSE Corps as an Executive Fellow are integral parts of his career trajectory in service to people and civic engagement.

In the private sector, he’s managed national teams of impassioned community marketing ambassadors in the solar industry. Ruda has earned a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and an International Management MBA from Brighton University, England and all’Università degli Studi di Torino – SAA, Italy. He appreciates pretending to speak Italian with those who indulge his imagination and spending his workdays being reliably impressed by the innovative ways people generate, consume, and do business across energy sectors.
