Lecturer with the equivalent rank of Assistant Professor
Anne Gottfried is a part-time Assistant Professor of Marketing, teaching in our online program. She earned her doctoral degree from Kennesaw State University in Marketing in 2015. She brings to the program numerous years of professional experience in various industries and over 15 years of higher educational marketing and management involvement. Anne previously worked at Tulane University for the Freeman School of Business as a Marketing Lecturer, the University of Southern Mississippi as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Marketing, and Louisiana State University of Alexandria as a Management and Marketing Instructor.
Anne’s research focus is sales force management, specifically sales force motivation in a business-to-business setting. She has published in the Journal of Selling and has several awarding winning national and regional level conference publications in personal selling and sales management. She has presented at the following conferences: Society for Marketing Advances, Atlantic Marketing Association, National Conference for Sales Management, and the Academy of Business Research National Conference. Anne is a reviewer for Qualitative Market Research: An International Journal, Academy of Marketing Science, Society for Marketing Advances, Atlantic Marketing Association, and the Doctoral Track for the National Conference for Sales Management. She is also a member and reviewer for the Journal of Global Scholars of Marketing Science: Bridging Asia and the World (JGSMS) Editorial Board for Personal Selling & Sales Management, 2017-2022.
Anne is a native of New Orleans and an active member of the New Orleans community to include her interest in assisting small businesses improve their marketing strategies and grow their brand image.
