Assistant Professor of Marketing and Chase Distinguished Professor
Emily Treen joined the College of Business in the fall of 2024 as an Assistant Professor of Marketing. In 2022, she graduated from the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University (SFU) in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, with a Ph.D. in Marketing. Prior to her role at Loyola, Emily taught over 20 semesters at the Beedie School of Business in a range of courses, including Fundamentals of Marketing, Global Marketing, Marketing Ethics, Marketing Research, and Entrepreneurship. Emily is passionate about her students and loves being a part of their journeys to becoming life-long learners.
Emily’s area of expertise in research and teaching is marketing, especially the motivational attributes of salespeople. Her work has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, including Industrial Marketing Management, the Journal of Interactive Marketing, the Journal of Advertising Research, and many others.
Before coming to Loyola, Emily lived her entire life in BC, besides quick stints in Toronto and Germany. Emily is an avid athlete and sports enthusiast. She is a huge San Francisco 49ers fan, but a small part of her heart is growing for the Saints. She is excited to be a part of the Wolfpack.
