Kate Campbell Casanova
Kate Campbell Casanova is an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of Louisiana. She is currently an Assistant Attorney General in the Louisiana Department of Justice’s New Orleans office and practices civil defense litigation involving mostly general liability. After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, as well as a Masters in Public Administration, Kate worked as an Executive Assistant for the Louisiana Secretary of State until law school. During her tenure at the Secretary of State’s Office, Kate assisted with election, lobbying and campaign projects. Prior to joining the Attorney General’s Office, she served as a judicial intern for the Honorable James J. Brady, U.S. District Court, Middle District of Louisiana and the Honorable Madeleine Landrieu of the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals of Louisiana. In addition, Kate served as a law clerk to the Honorable Henry N. Brown, Jr., Chief Judge of the Second Circuit Court of Appeal of Louisiana.
Kate is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, American Bar Association, American Society of Public Administrators, and the New Orleans Museum of Art Young Fellows Program. She has been an active volunteer with various nonprofit youth organizations such as the Lighthouse After School Tutorial Program in Shreveport, La., Child Advocacy Centers in Austin, TX, Baton Rouge, La., and New Orleans, La. Kate and her husband, Jack, reside in New Orleans and are active participants in their church, Rayne Methodist.
