Amazon Web Services and Loyola Center for Entrepreneurship Host Civic Challenge Hackathon (Biz New Orleans, May 2019)

Loyola University New Orlean's Center for Entrepreneurship partnered with Amazon Web Services to host a Civic Hackathon Challenge at the inaugural INNO conference. The Hackathon, which collaborated with the City of Baton Rouge to provide an open dataset, served as the kick-off event for the conference.

Loyola MBA Students Partner with the NSA in Lean LaunchPad Course (Silicon Bayou News, April 2019)

MBA students at Loyola University have partnered with the National Security Agency this spring in the annual Lean LaunchPad course. Student teams were provided with patented NSA technologies and worked with inventors to assess their technology's market potential through research, customer interviews, and lean startup methodologies.

Director Kate McCrery Nominated in 2019 Ada Loveless Awards (LookFar, March 2019)

Loyola University CECD Director, Kate Yoo McCrery, is nominated as a STEM Educator of the Year in the Ada Loveless Awards. The awards ceremony will be held as a part of New Orleans Entrepreneur Week and is hosted by local software company LookFar.

Loyola Center for Entrepreneurship Receives a $1.5 Million Gift (Nola.com, September 2018)

Loyola University New Orleans will now expand the scope of its Center for Entrepreneurship after receiving a $1.5 million gift from an anonymous donor.  The gift will allow the Center to further experiential programming for students and bring entrepreneurs and mentors to campus.

Propeller, Good Work Network and CECD Host European Entrepreneurs (Biz New Orleans, October 2018)

For one week in October, Good Work Network, Loyola University's Center for Entrepreneurship and Community Development (CECD), and the social entrepreneurship organization Propeller will host seven international entrepreneurs in New Orleans. The entrepreneurs have been awarded the Young Transatlantic Innovation Leaders Initiative Fellowship by the U.S. Department of State and The German Marshall Fund.
